Do any of you think that a lot of the feedback for Sly 4 was biased, due to the fact that Sucker Punch didn't work on it? As in, do you feel that a lot of people decided beforehand that it was going to suck because someone not familiar with the series created it? I think a lot of the bad feedback was because of that. I know there were some actual flaws with it (for example, I've heard about plotholes), but I feel like most people just nitpicked it because of that. I haven't played much of it, and I haven't played it at all in possibly a year or more, but I think it doesn't seem to be as bad as it's made out to be.
yh, what Teenbat said. The fanbase and sales may have been huge before, but most of those people weren't hardcore fans so after an 8 year hiatus they had no idea the series was returning. Even today I still find people being shocked that there's a movie and new game. Sony really should have taken the risk and advertised it... oh well, I bet the plan is for the movie to determine if there will be a Sly 5, etc..
Oh okay. I guess it makes sense though. From my point-of-view, regardless of the movie being based off a video game, movies always get more advertising than video games. Still, wish Sony advertised Sly 4 (and if there will be a 5th one, they better advertise it).
