Sly Cooper and the Thievius RaccoonusEdit
While Thief Reflexes doesn't appear in Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, there is a similar group of abilities called "Slow". It was first invented by Sly's lazy ancestor, Dev Cooperinda, who used it to slow time to a crawl. At first, Sly Cooper could only use the ability to slow time while in the air, but soon gained the ability of "perpetual slow motion" from Matthew de la Coopeur's section of the Thievius Raccoonus. It converts the player's surroundings into a slow-motion based environment, allowing steady evasion from enemies for a limited period of time.
Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among ThievesEdit
In Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, Thief Reflexes is a power-up that can be purchased from ThiefNet. It can be purchased in Sly 2 at the beginning of Menace from the North, eh! for 1600 coins, and in Sly 3 on the second day of A Cold Alliance for 1200 coins.
When Thief Reflexes is being used, the Gadget Meter slowly drains, and the world is slowed to a crawl, much like perpetual slow motion from the first game.
Sly Cooper: Thieves in TimeEdit
While Thief Reflexes can't be purchased from ThiefNet in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, it can still be used by activating the special ability from the Thief Costume. The ability is activated by using the time staff that Sly holds while wearing the costume.
Unlike Thief Reflexes in previous games, the Thief Costume's ability to slow down time does not affect the wearer, so Sly is able to travel much faster in relation to the world around him. Thus, using the ability makes bringing the time restricted treasures back to the safe house much easier.
- This power-up doesn't slow down dialogue.
