"Theater Pickpocketing" was a job for Sly Cooper in The Black Chateau of Sly 2: Band of Thieves. Pickpocketing is first introduced in this mission.
Background
Bentley needs Sly to pick some pockets in the theater so he can disable the security in the printing press room.
Synopsis
Sly has to get on top of a chandelier and put a splice clip in the spotlights, and the only way to get up there is by hopping on the fans, which are spinning way too fast to walk on. Bentley has Sly steal six keys by pickpocketing them from the flashlight guards stationed in Dimitri's theater so he can use them to shut off the fans in the room.
Upon doing this, Sly jumps across the fans up to the chandelier and puts a splice clip into the security station located there. Bentley then uses the security station's guns to destroy the two power boxes, shutting down the security systems that are in Dimitri's printing press room.
Trivia
- According to audio from the demo disc for Sly 2, a new type of flashlight guard would have been introduced in this mission. These guards would have had red flashlight beams, and they would have all been in radio contact. Being seen by one would alert all of them.
- In an early trailer for the game, Sly can be seen collecting a treasure (presumably the Gold Painting) in the backstage area with the sleeping guard. Treasures found in side areas do not exist in the final release with one exception, the aforementioned Gold Painting in "Bug Dimitri's Office."
