Check 1. Check 2. Solid. Dimitri on the mic with a shout-out to all my nightclub samurai. Stand tall and feel beautiful. I hear there's some raccoon dude giving us static! If y'all spot this cracker-box, BAM! Make him unhappy, take no prisoners, go hardcore, extreme, all over his FACE! OK, peace out.
— Dimitri telling his men to kill Sly if they see him.[src]
Bentley orders Sly to steal six keys by pickpocketing them from the Flashlight Guards stationed in Dimitri's theater and use them to shut off the fans in the room.
Upon doing this, Sly jumps across the fans up to the chandelier and puts a splice chip into the security station located there. Bentley then uses the security station's guns to destroy the two powerboxes, turning off the security systems that are in Dimitri's printing press room.
According to audio from the demo disc for Sly 2, a new type of flashlight guard would have been introduced in this mission. These guards would have had red flashlight beams, and they would have all been in radio contact. Being seen by one would alert all of them.
In an early trailer for the game, Sly can be seen collecting a treasure (presumably the Gold Painting) in the backstage area with the sleeping guard. Treasures found in side areas do not exist in the final release with one exception; the aforementioned Gold Painting in "Bug Dimitri's Office."
