Guru binocucom

The Guru using his Moon Stone as a Binocucom

The Guru's Staff is The Guru's primary weapon and serves as a focus for his powers. It is made up of his Walking Staff and Moon Stone and allows him to control guards, camouflage himself into pieces of scenery (like a bush or wheel of cheese), and connect beings minds, as done to the Panda King and Sly Cooper in Episode 4: A Cold Alliance of Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. He also uses it to communicate with other members of the Cooper Gang in lieu of a Binocucom.

History

The staff was stolen by miners in Rumble Down Under and broken into the two pieces, and each piece was put into its own safe in the mission Dark Caves. Sly was recruited to collect the pieces, after which the Guru became a member of the Cooper Gang.

At some point in time after Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves the staff was again broken, and the Moon Stone portion became the Treasure "The Guru's Staff Piece" in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. It prevented the player from taking half of all damage.

Use

The staff is used in either passively or aggressively. Should the player sneak up behind an enemy as the Guru, they can jump and press Template:Icon to latch on to the guard's back. The Guru can then control the direction the guard runs and can attack using Template:Icon. Pressing Template:Icon causes the guard to jump and pressing Template:Icon causes the Guru to detach from the guard, forcing it to run for a long distance or until it smashes into something.

Pressing and holding Template:Icon will make the Guru swing the staff and chant, and within a few seconds he will be transformed into one of three items, depending on his surroundings.
