Sanzaru Games is a video game development company founded in 2007 in California. Their first game was Ninja Reflex, released on March 1, 2008, for PC, Nintendo DS and Wii. Their second game was a port of the PlayStation Portable game originally developed by High Impact Games, Secret Agent Clank, released on May 26, 2009, for PlayStation 2. Their third game was a high definition remastered collection of the first three Sly Cooper games originally developed by Sucker Punch Productions for the PlayStation 2, The Sly Collection, which was released on November 9, 2010, for PlayStation 3. Their fourth game was Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident, which they helped Big Fish Games develop; it was released on June 27, 2011, for Wii. Their fifth game was Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, which was set to be released in late 2012, but was delayed to February 2013. This was also the case with their sixth game, Bentley's Hackpack (which is also part of the Sly Cooper series), and it was released on the same day as Thieves in Time in North America.

They were also going to develop another Sly Cooper game, which was going to be called Sly Cooper: Network of Thieves, but it was shelved and canceled during the development process. The company name is based on the three wise monkeys (called sanzaru in Japan).

Behind the scenes[]

The Sanzaru logo appears multiple times throughout Thieves in Time. Some of these appearances are on Sly Cooper's backpack and the Branding Iron treasure. It is also seen when Bentley vandalized his photo of Penelope by putting a "+" on one eye and a "-" on the other.

On November 14, 2014, Sanzaru stated that they have no plans to make a future Sly Cooper game.[1] However, they are still interested in continuing the Sly Cooper series.
