  • I was looking through the Stubs page when I saw the Ultimate Sly page and the Guards page had no Stub tags, but were still on the page. Can you look into that please?

  • Just lemme know if you ever need any help, I will be glad to do so! In the meantime, I wish you well in creating the walkthrough template.

  • So, I thought about it for a bit, and while the current trophies situation works (with the TrophyBox template) I think that a few changes could definitely benefit the situation. If you take a look at my Sandbox page, you can see my suggestion (you'll have to edit the page, since it is code). Of course, it won't do much until it is implemented as an actual Template, but hopefully you'll be able to get the general gist.

Along with that, I suggest that trophies relating to certain pages be placed in their own section, underneath all other sections, but above any NavBoxes (obviously). This also means that we would put any and all trophies relating to the page under the Trophy heading. For example, on the page A Stealthy Approach, there would be the trophy "Learn the Ropes", as well as "True Thievius Raccoonus", since it is necessary to get the first in order to obtain the second.

Any feedback would be appreciated, and if you do see any errors in my coding, please let me know, so I can (hopefully) fix it.

    • I've been tinkering with your trophy code and here's what it's looking like so far. I changed everything into lower-case because it's a lot easier to keep track and you don't have to worry about when stuff is uppercase and when it isn't, etc. I still have a little bit to go with the "#ifeq" bits; I don't even think it's applicable in this situation because you're not comparing two things; you're simply inputting a string and expecting it to spit out a value corresponding to that string.

Regarding the bit about listing all trophies, Electric and I decided that it wouldn't be necessary because it would imply that one would have to do A Stealthy Approach and would be able to do no other job, in order to obtain the True Thievius Raccoonus trophy. Plus, it would force us to list that trophy on every single walkthrough page, which didn't seem efficient. Thus, we list trophies that can be obtained only in that specific Job.

    • Looks good. And yeah... I'm not that good with wiki-code, so any and all tinkering is greatly appreciated.

  • Steampeng, This is about Pæxgo

She has a problem with spamming as you are aware, and it in my firm opinion that this needs to get fix. One way or another.

While I, If I'm in your place, rather avoid Banning her, I would not think twice if that is needed.

I think she just doesn't understand how a wikia works, and this is going to need to be fix, I think

  • Stealth Game Guided TourEdit

Hey Shrev, I'm Doug from Wikia's Community Development Team! I'm stopping by to ask you if you'd be interested in participating in a Wikia Guided Tour about Stealth video games! Guided Tours are large written posts that describe and inform users about a certain genre/theme. We choose 3 or so admins of various communities to provide their opinion about the genre as a whole, what makes it great, and why they are fans. These admins then choose a small handful of 'must-play' games of the genre so new players can check out the best of the best.

If you're curious about what the Guided Tour looks like, check out some previous ones Zombies, Horror Games, and Space Opera.

If you'd be interested in being featured in this, please let me know! We are planning for the Tour to go live at the end of the month. Don't hesitate to ask any questions if you have them! Thanks : > TheBlueRogue @Wikia •(profile)•(talk)•(doug@wikia-inc.com) 18:45, June 17, 2014 (UTC)

  • Hi there!

Though you might already know about, I thought I’d remind you about Wikia’s Video Swap tool, which allows you to very easily swap out YouTube videos embedded across your community for the Wikia equivalent. It only effects YouTube videos with a matching Wikia video. Swapping out your videos for matching officially licensed Wikia videos means that the videos on your community are less likely to be taken down and rendered unwatchable.

With your approval, I can go through and make these swaps for you — if you’d rather undertake this task yourself — or if you’re uninterested entirely — just let me know! I'll likely start making some of the swaps for you in a week, so be sure to let me know as soon as you can if you'd rather not make the switch."

    Thanks!

  • So, if you remember, a while back I was wondering about a way that we could have the walkthrough pages possibly be inside the level pages, like "A_Stealthy_Approach/Walkthrough:A_Stealthy_Approach" so it would automatically have the link back to the main page; but sadly, it's probably much too late to do something like that, so maybe we could just make a template that looks like

There are spoilers for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time underneath this header.
    Read at your own risk.

for example, but rather than being a spoiler, obviously it would say something like "This is a walkthrough page, click here to go to the job page."

    Food for thought.

    • I meant more along the lines of, when you click "This page doesn't have a walkthrough page, help the wiki by writing it," it creates the page Walkthrough:Whatever and it already has the back tag on the page. I guess I can just create a new walkthrough page really quick to see if it does.

    • Alright, just created a new walkthrough for A Cunning Disguise, and you do have to add the back tag manually to any new pages as well, which is what you may have been trying to get across. Anyway, doesn't matter much, there doesn't seem to be many people making walkthrough pages, so it should be easy to remember.

In fact, I think I'm going to create all the walkthrough pages for at least Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus right now, and add just the video, so the pages at least exist, if I have the time to complete it all.
