This is a list of Guards found in the Sly Cooper series. These guards usually work for the local boss and will attack Sly and the rest of the gang (including Carmelita) on sight. In Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, the guard's behavior is fairly automated and simple, and most guards are defeated with one hit. In Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, however, the guards seem to become more intelligent, as well as being more difficult to defeat. They are able to detect Sly if he is within their line of sight or makes a loud enough noise, and will chase him if he is spotted. It takes many hits to defeat them.
There are three types of guards in most worlds:
- Rooftop Guards
- Flashlight Guards
