Fists of Flame is a power-up available for purchase for Murray. It first appears in The Black Chateau of Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and reappears in Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.


The Fists of Flame allows Murray to set his hands on fire and dish out fire damage to the next guard he punches.

In Sly 2 and Sly 3, the move has to be assigned to a button (either L1Button, L2Button, or R2Button) in order to be able to use it. Murray claps his hands in the air to get his fists to catch on fire. The next enemy he punches bursts into flame and dies (except for Carmelita and bosses). If you press the assigned button again before you hit an enemy, Murray will clap his hands again, eliminating the flames in the process. It costs energy from the Gadget Meter every time Murray activates the power-up.

In Thieves in Time, the Fists of Flame is changed to a selectable pair of gloves. When Fists of Flame is activated, Murray's hands are always on fire. The catch is that every fiery punch thrown cost energy from the Gadget Meter. Unlike in previous games, a punch thrown using Fists of Flame does not instantly kill all enemies. In order to select Fists of Flame, hold L2Button to bring up Murray's gadget grid and then use LStick to find the gloves before releasing L2Button.
