The Knockout Dive, also known as the Fast Attack Dive Move and Dive, was a power-up invented by Drake Cooper. Sly Cooper does a somersault while spinning his cane for an attack. The move also is upgraded to Chris Cooper's Dive Collection Technique, which can be used while Sly is in the air to slam down while spinning his cane.
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus
In Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, the Fast Attack Dive Move was collected from the first Vault opened. It was used to quickly dive forward while Sly spun his cane, and was used as an attack. It was later upgraded into the Dive Collection Technique to allow Sly dive from the air, collecting Coins that were in the shockwave radius, and was the fourth move obtained from a vault, excluding blue-prints.
The Fast Attack Dive Move was performed by equipping it with and , then pressing while on the ground or in the air.
Sly 2: Band of Thieves
From Sly 2: Band of Thieves on, the power-up was renamed to Knockout Dive. Instead of defeating enemies in a single hit, like in the first game, it simply knocked enemies out. It was obtained from the Vault in Episode 1: The Black Chateau. The Dive Collection Technique, now called simply Dive, became a move available from the beginning of the game.
The Knockout Dive was performed by equipping it to a button (, , or ) and pressing that button. Every use took some focus from the Gadget Meter. The Dive was performed by pressing while in the air.
Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves
In Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, similar to Sly 2, the power-up was called the Knockout Dive. It was obtained by purchasing it from ThiefNet on the second day of Episode 1: An Opera of Fear for 300 coins. Dive also returned as a default move.
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
While the Knockout Dive did not return in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Dive returned as a default move.
