A marvel of Japanese woodcarving, this wooden controller packs a powerful Dualshock punch! History tells that this controller was once used to defeat the most fiendish criminals.
― In-game description

Classic Gaming Gear was a treasure planned to be included in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. It was to be found in the Japanese village of "Turning Japanese." It was briefly showcased in gameplay for PAX 2011, but for reasons unknown, it was cut from the final game.[1]

It is a wooden DUALSHOCK3 controller. The description makes a reference to the Fiendish Five, who appeared in Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, a game originally released for the PlayStation 2. However, since the design has a PS button, it resembles a DUALSHOCK3, which is used with the PlayStation 3.
