Chalk Talks, colloquially known as slideshows in Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, are presentations made by Bentley that serve as a mission briefings for the gang. They are made up of images (usually reconnaissance photos that were collected previously) with commentary from Bentley, explaining necessary steps in order to set up an operation, or what will happen during the operation itself. They first appear in Sly 2, and are present in all of the following main games.
In Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, where the presentations were given the name Chalk Talks, they can be re-watched in the "Extras" section of the pause menu, but are otherwise only watchable once.
Trivia
- In Rumble Down Under of Sly 3, Murray tells Sly that he doesn't really listen to Bentley's presentations.
- Bentley has been the creator of all of the presentations, except for one given in Of Mice and Mechs, when he was faced with the reality that Penelope was the Black Knight. Carmelita created the presentation here.
