The Alarm Clock is a power-up that can be purchased and used to make a lot of noise that will distract all enemies in range, enabling the player to slip past them. In Sly 2: Band of Thieves, only Sly Cooper can use it, while in Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, only Bentley can.


To use it, the player must press the assigned button (L1Button, L2Button or R2Button) and aim where they want Sly or Bentley to throw it, using the arrow that appears. When the button is released, the alarm clock will be thrown and will attract nearby guards, allowing the player to either escape or eliminate them. It will self-destruct after a limited amount of time.

It is a required power-up to complete Sly 2, as it is needed during the heist, "Operation: Canada Games," in Menace from the North, eh!. Here, it is used to lure the three judges into a cave so the Cooper Gang can knock them out and take their places on the panel. It is not required in Sly 3, however.

Trivia Edit

  • The TOM gadget serves the exact same purpose as the Alarm Clock. They are both used to simply distract enemies.
